The Omaha World-Herald covers the race

A great piece by the Omaha World-Herald on October 29th, 2014 about this campaign and the record of service and proven results Don Kleine has delivered to the residents of Douglas County:

Kleine said, he thrives on the day-to-day work. Prosecuting violent criminals, defending the county against civil claims, helping steer youths and first-time offenders away from a life of crime and doing battle in the courtroom.

Bottom line: Kleine, who has at least 150 jury trials of experience, can’t see himself doing anything else.

“It’s a very satisfying job,” Kleine said. “It’s nice to be thought of (for higher office), but this is the position I always aspired to.”

KETV covers the campaign

A great piece by KETV on October 17th, 2014 about the history of proven performance, the wealth of experience, and the clear record of fiscal responsibility that Don Kleine has established as your Douglas County Attorney.

“We’ve done a good job. I want to continue. There are a lot of difficult complex, trial issues that face Douglas County from the cases we have pending,” said Kleine.

Even now, with a staff of 54 in the office, Kleine continues to argue some of Nebraska’s highest-profile trials.

“They’re cases that citizens of Douglas County care about and they’ve been handled very well,” said Kleine.

Kleine said his office is always under budget and while he’s been asked to campaign for other political offices, he says his heart is right here.

“When I look at this job, I feel like I have an impact on the people of Douglas County on a daily basis and I think it’s a significant impact,” said Kleine.
