The 43-year-old was sentenced Wednesday to 110 to 140 years in prison on four different counts: two counts of first degree sexual assault, one count of attempted assault, and use of a weapon to commit a felony.

…one of Vaughn’s victims, was at the courthouse on Monday during the sentencing. She told Channel 6 News that Vaughn got what he deserved.

He made a short statement [in court] and said he was remorseful and asked for mercy. He also blamed his drug addiction for the incidents and said he has no recollection of what happened.

“I’m sorry for whatever happened to those young ladies,” Vaughn said.

Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine said he didn’t buy into Vaughn’s apology or his reasoning for why he committed the sexual assaults.

“He terrorized them and he terrorized the community,” Kleine said. “He still fails to take responsibility.”
