Triple Murderer Gets Three Life Sentences

The co-defendant of Anthony Davis, who was previously sentenced, was sentenced for his role in a July 2012 triple murder. Action 3 News covers the story:

On Thursday, the 27-year-old received three life sentences for being the shooter for the 2012 triple homicide. Douglas County District Court Judge Kimberly Pankonin told [the defendant] the sentences would run consecutively. She also gave him 105-120 years in prison on weapons charges.

County Attorney Don Kleine said they were pleased that [the defendant] is being held accountable, and doesn’t think an appeal will hold up. He says when dealing with a drug trade case witnesses often are involved with drugs, so they had multiple witnesses corroborate the story and the evidence.

“No one wants to believe that these kinds of acts could happen but they do, and it’s part of this drug trafficking business. The violence that occurs, the use of firearms, the indiscriminate killing of individuals. It’s unimaginable,” Kleine noted.
